This is a quick Snap I took whilst having my Coffee. On to the business of the day, today I thought I would mention about Essential fatty acids, which of course you can tell by the name that they are essential to our well-being, if you don't include them in your daily diet you cannot be healthy! I have been recommending clients to be using supplements of EFA's for the last 25 or so years in various guises, but never before have my Clients and I have had such good results with them as with Hemp Seed Oil. We have been using Hemp oil for over a year now and the Hemp Farm oil for nearly 8 months and this oil is fantastic. At the clinic we all use it to pour over our lunchtime salad as we love the taste. I have also used it in many recipes (don't cook with it as with any oil that contains EFA's it shouldn't be heated as it destroys the active ingredients) Some of My family's favourites include Mayonnaise, Pesto and Rocket salad (Pesto Recipe below). Pesto Recipe
Ingredients
2 Tablespoons Pinenuts
2 Tablespoons Walnuts
large handful of each of the following - Fresh Coriander, Basil and flat leaf Parsley (tarragon is really nice too)
1-2 Tablespoons Hemp seed oil
Optional 1 small tin Anchovies in olive oil (you can use the oil if you don't mind the strong taste)
3 Sundried Tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
Put all into a Grinder or food processor until you get the consistency you like.
